I have been writing software for a living for the last five years, working on web, desktop, and mobile applications.  I picked up Android development a few weeks after the Android Market launched in September, 2008.  Since then, I have published four successful apps with a combined 600,000 downloads.  My work has ranged from news readers to slot machines, from web services to custom animations.  I have also published seven apps on behalf of other developers.  I maintain a blog aimed at helping people understand the business of apps.
